As with every backup system, it is very
important that you check it periodically to ensure proper operation.
This can be done easily by doing a restore of your files to ensure
that they actually backed up as you expected them too. To do a
restore follow these simple steps:
1) OPEN THE ICWBackup software icon

2) The backup program interface will come up

3) CLICK BACKUPS (The second icon between BACKUP and RESTORE)
This will list all the backups that are on file
4) You should get a screen similar to the one shown below

5) Double Click the backup that you wish to restore from. IF THE
BACKUP SAYS INCREMENTAL THEN ONLY THE CHANGED FILES FROM THE PREVIOUS
DAY ARE THERE. IF YOUR FILE HAS NOT BEEN CHANGED SINCE THE LAST
FULL BACKUP, YOUR FILE MAY NOT BE LISTED. YOU SHOULD THEN CHOOSE
THE LAST FULL BACKUP OR SELECT A DAY WHEN YOU KNOW THE FILE WAS
CHANGED.
6) You will now see a listing of all the files backed up during
that day

7) PLACE a checkmark next to the files you wish to restore. The
RESTORE button will now be active

8) CLICK THE RESTORE BUTTON. You will see a restore windows that
looks similar to:

9) IT IS HIGHLY RECCOMENDED that you restore the file to a different
location then the original so that you don’t accidentally overwrite
anything. To do this click the “…” just to the right of Restore
To: select a folder in a convenient location such as “my documents”
for example. Click OK and your files are restored in a snap.
